MAYBE THE BEST DAY OF THE YEAR
First, just let me say how much I love black and white photography. LOVE IT! If Guatemala wasn’t so colorful, that’s all I would post.
I think most kids in the village will tell you that one of the best days of the year is when we take them to swim in the Pacific Ocean.
Amazingly, we live just 2 hours from the beach and most kids (and most parents) have never visited. It’s really a once in a lifetime trip except they have the opportunity to go every year! They just need to keep their grades up!
The day is quite an event. We rent a chicken bus and a beach house and we spoil the boys all day long. We buy fried chicken for lunch and snacks for the bus ride. If there was ONE DAY I wish you could be here for, THIS would be the day.

‘His voice is like the sound of many waters’…
Oh the peace the sound of the ocean brings!!!!!! Love love love this photo!!!! My goal is the next time we come to be able to do this day with you!!!!
Love you all!!!! 💛
DEAL! This year right??? You would make our year if you were to come!
I love this so much……to know that Jesus knows how to bless us beyond what anyone can imagine…thank you, Lord and thank you, Sisneros!!!!
Thank you Sandy. We love serving Him in this little village. We feel BLESSED!
“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!”
To stand at the edge of an immense ocean is to touch the incomprehensible. It helps us understand boundless love and eternity. And is So. Much. FUN!!
Cathy, it’s one of my favorite days of the year as well. To see their faces light up when it’s their first time ever, is PRICELESS!
Reminds me of that precious song we sang as kids. .
Wide, wide as the ocean, high as the heavens above,
Deep, deep as the deepest sea, is my Saviors Love!
I, though so unworthy, still am a child of His care,
For His Word teaches me that His love reaches me everywhere.
Love you all and prayers, Lori
YES! It really shows you how deep and POWERFUL His love for us is. I hope I get to see you in October!
