The Maria Scarf named after the first woman that the Scarf Project employed. The Maria Scarf is made with 100% Guatemalan Cotton harvested by women in San Juan La Laguna nested on Beautiful Lake Atitlan.

The Maria is dyed with Zanahorias, also known in the English language as the Carrot!

Note:  All the scarves are handmade and unique.  The piece you receive may vary from the hues depicted here on our website, because of the many variables in the natural dyeing process. Scarf sizes vary slightly but average around 71 inches in length and 7 inches in width.

With your purchase, you have helped employ a woman in El Rosario Guatemala. Because of her job making scarves she can now feed her children and continue to care for her family, and you receive a beautiful hand made scarf.

Each woman who is an employee of the scarf project is from El Rosario, Guatemala.  We know these women and their stories.  We love them.

All scarves are hand made from start to finish.

You can be sure that all the scarf sales are applied towards employing the women who make scarves a fair wage with all proceeds going to ongoing ministry costs in El Rosario.

All the women who knit scarves receive spiritual discipleship.  Vonda personally meets with the ladies weekly for prayer and bible study.
