I’ve lost count of how many court dates there have been for Amado and Chayo and then their 2 little brothers. Every two months for the last 2 years, we’ve wondered, “Will this be the day?”
Today at 11:47 am we got the text we’ve prayed for over and over and over again.
No words. Only tears. Only God.
*** On a scale from 1-10, this is a 25! Obviously, VERY GOOD NEWS. But it’s not over. The case will now move to CNA, The National Counsel for Adoptions. We believe, along with everyone else involved in this case, that the heavy lifting has been done, BUT there is still work to do.
Next week the case will be transferred to CNA who will then begin the process of preparing the legal work for their adoption. That may take 3-6 months. Our hope is to bring them home in August.
Remember in 1980 when the USA won the gold in hockey? They beat The Soviet Union, but then had to go through Finland to make it official. Basically, we just beat the Soviet Union.
WHAT A JOURNEY. Thank you for standing by us. Thank you for praying for these four little ones. We believe in miracles.
